From the fall of 2011 through the end of spring 2012, the James R. Macdonald Lab has been remodeling. Our various laser-atom studies have displaced some of our old particle accelerators, and have grown beyond the space we originally allotted for them.
At long last the PULSAR lab is ready for science. In early to mid-September the north attosecond experimental area began filling up with gear, most notably the COLTRIMS apparatus formerly housed in the former "square room". Openings in the walls to transport the laser also appeared.
