Konza consists of an industrial-grade Ytterbium-based high-power laser front end (>Tangor 300, by Amplitude Lasers) delivering 3.2 mJ, 450 fs pulses centered at 1030 nm at 100 kHz. These pulses can be used as is, can be compressed below 50 fs using a multipass cell, or it can drive a synchronized dual OPCPA optimized for two-color pump-probe experiments. There is also the customized "Moonlander" HHG source from Class 5 that is optimized for Output 2 (fixed-wavelength OPCPA).
The specifications of Konza and its OPAs are as follows:
- Repetition rate: user selectable from 1 to 100 kHz.
- Output 0 (front end):
- Central wavelength: 1030 nm.
- Pulse duration: 450 fs FWHM in intensity.
- Pulse energy: 3.2 mJ at 100 kHz.
- Driver for homebuilt mid-IR OPA.
- Output 1 (multipass cell):
- Central wavelength: ?1030 nm.
- Pulse duration: <50 fs FWHM in intensity.
- Pulse energy: 2.2 mJ (220 W average power at 100 kHz).
- Output 2 (OPCPA, fixed wavelength and high contrast):
- Central wavelength: ~800 nm.
- Pulse duration: ?20 fs FWHM in intensity.
- Pulse energy: ?250 ?J at 100 kHz.

- Output 3 3 (OPCPA, tunable wavelength and high contrast):
- Central wavelength: continuously tunable within 700-900 nm range.
- Pulse duration: <30 fs FWHM in intensity.
- Pulse energy: >120 ?J at 800 nm and 100 kHz.
- Driver for tunable second-, third-, and fourth-harmonic generation.
