From the fall of 2011 through the end of spring 2012, the James R. Macdonald Lab has been remodeling. Our various laser-atom studies have displaced some of our old particle accelerators, and have grown beyond the space we originally allotted for them.
When we built the Linac, we had to rotate the stairs leading down from the loading dock from their orignal orientation. Twenty-odd years later, we had to rotate them back to make room for PULSAR. The contractor opted to just manufacture an all-new set of stairs, which were delivered and installed around Christmas.
