From the fall of 2011 through the end of spring 2012, the James R. Macdonald Lab has been remodeling. Our various laser-atom studies have displaced some of our old particle accelerators, and have grown beyond the space we originally allotted for them.
In October we finally saw new construction commence on the High Intensity Tunable Source (HITS) area. The existing walls and floor were cleaned and patched before studwork defining new walls went up.
