The Kansas Light Source is a high-intensity ultrafast laser light source developed by Professor Zenghu Chang. The ultrashort femtosecond light pulses made here are directed to experiments all over the lab. Some of those experiments explore the fundamental physics of non-linear optics in hopes of producing still shorter attosecond light pulses. This set of photos was taken in October 2008.
