p30: "Jonathan (John, William) b. between 1675 and 1680 and d. in Beverly about February,
1756. After the death of his brother William, "quartus", he took a lease of the lands
formerly owned by their father, for the term of 7 years and eventually became owner. Lived
on the Salem side of Beverly cove until about the time of the death of his father, when he
appears to have moved to the Beverly side till his own death. He was holder of such town
offices as juryman, constable, fence-viewer and was a warm friend of Rev. John Hale. He
was prosperous, as shown by his will, dated, 12 May, 1748, and proved, 8 March, 1756-7.
The inventory of his estate made 30 December, 1756 by William and John, his sons and
executors, and amounting to 1822£-5 sh... He m. (1) Elizabeth Goodhue of Ipswich, 17 Dec,
1702. She d. 26 July, 1703. (?) m. (2) wid. Jerusha Rayment (with 1 dau. Hannah), 15 May,
1705 by Rev. Thos. Blowers."
