There are several places on the internet which have huge databases filled with MSDS information.
Most of these sites are searchable by chemical name, manufacturer name, and/or CAS.
Just remember, you are responsible for how you use this information.

• ChemFinder -- is a name, formula, MW, CAS, and substructure searchable chemical database. The ChemFinder WebServer indexes over 150 chemical information sites.

• Interactive Learning Paradigms, Inc. has a variety of MSDS tools, an extensive glossary and a huge list of links to MSDS sources.

• Oxford University -- is a nice site which includes a glossary, MSDS data on general chemicals, plus special sections for gases, carcinogens, and peroxides.

• Vermont SIRI -- Once connected, you will be given instructions on how to search the MSDS archive. This site also has links to other MSDS sites.

• Cornell University has a good MSDS site.

• MSDSOnline.Com allows you to search by chemical name and company name. Free registration required; for a fee, you can have access to lots of other options.

• MSDS Search is an attempt to produce "one stop shopping" for all your MSDS needs. The site has lots of links to MSDS databases and in the future promises to have a "master" database of MSDS information.

• MSDSsolutions has a large database. Free registration is required for access.

• MSDS Provider is a place to search for manufacturer specific MSDS sources.

• MSDS Xchange can be searched by manufacturer or chemical, and has extensive health and safety links.

• Fisher Scientific has an online catalogue which includes MSDS information.

• Sigma-Aldrich has an online MSDS and product search area.

• Ecogopher EPA Fact Sheets -- These are documents which contain similar information to an MSDS. Once connected you will get a list of chemicals. Choose the chemical which you are interested in to get the fact sheet or give you a link to additional information.

• University System of Georgia -- has a limited collection of MSDSs, but they have some unusual stuff in their collection.

• EXTOXNET, the EXtension TOXicology NETwork at Oregon State University, provides a variety of information about pesticides.

• University of Akron has a searchable hazardous material database.

• ChemExper is a searchable MSDS database in Belgium.

• New Jersey Department of Health and Senior Services Right to Know Hazardous Substances Fact Sheets.

• Agency for Toxic substances and Disease Registry has hazardous substance fact sheets.

• EPA Chemical Fact Sheets.

• VWR Scientific has online MSDS in their catalog.

• Electronic Space Products International has their MSDS data online in Adobe Acrobat format.

• Instant Chemical Hazards and Safety Data has safety information on a small number of chemicals plus links to other sites.

• Reade Advanced Materials has a list of links to MSDS sites plus other safety related information.

• Seton, a safety products company, has an extensive library of not only MSDS data, but also workplace safety and environmental regulation information.

• Emedco has a similarly comprehensive library.
