Linac Beamline LA2
(Linac Vault)

Linac beamline LA2 is the second, or 30° beam port off the first Linac switching magnet.
The Pat Richard group has one experiment mounted to this beamline.

Double Parallel-Plate 0° Electron Spectrometer

This beamline is equipped with a double-differentially pumped gas cell located in the center of the chamber. A pair of 45° entry parallel-plate electrostatic spectrometers are aligned with the gas cell to receive both electrons and the primary beam at 0° in the lab frame. The first spectrometer delivers the electrons to a deceleration lens and to the second spectrometer.

The line is also equipped with a magnetic quadrupole doublet lens and two sets of magnetic steerers.
