Sunday, 29 May was Day Two of the 2016 Cottonwood 200 and goes from Council Grove to Cottonwood Falls and back, with a stop in between at the Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve. You can examine the route at MapMyRide, or see my own ride report at Garmin Connect. It was pleasantly warm and the wind stayed in the west for the morning. That's good, given that there's tough hill climbing southbound out of Council Grove and you don't need a headwind to go with it. The breeze came around to the south later, providing an actual tailwind for the trip back. A tasty provided lunch was at "Keller Feed & Wine" in Cottonwood Falls, and dinner was at the "Hays House" back in Council Grove.
