Saturday is the official Day 1 of Biking Across Kansas. Today's destination of Montezuma was 73 miles away, but as part of my campaign to ride 1000 miles in just three weeks I decided to do a century. Accordingly, I returned to the border, turned around, and then rode the true course. I wound up with an all-time personal best of 105 miles.

It was warm and windy on Saturday, but the wind blew as expected from the southwest. Later in the week we would get hot winds from unwanted directions that would be a challenge. You can view this ride in detail at Garmin Connect or at Ride With GPS.
