Biking Across Kansas concluded in my hometown of Leavenworth on Day 8. My pleasant morning ride was made more so by a sort of private SAG where my brother and sister-in-law met me near their home with coffee and doughnuts. The citizens of Leavenworth gave us a rousing gauntleted welcome!

Those last 23 miles are documented at Garmin Connect or at Ride With GPS.

Most tents stayed up. Mine did, anyway.

Didn't catch the lightning from these clouds.

They just closed Immaculata, my old high school.

Leavenworth's welcome was rousing!

We ran a gauntlet of cowbells, Mardi Gras beads and an MC!

Lots of fans cheering us on.
