inherited the homestead in M. and was probably a farmer. He was probably a captain of
militia as early as 1698... He m. 3 Aug. 1664, acc. to Marshfield Rec., Faith Miller, b.
abt. 1645, Yarmouth, Mass., dau. of Rev. John Miller, of Yarmouth, afterwards of Groton,
Mass., and Lydia his wife. She d. 9 Nov. 1729, 'in the 85th year of her age'."
