v162, pp136-137: "Francis Eliot, bp. Nazeing 10 April 1615; d. 23 Oct. 1677, probably at
Braintree, Mass. He m. by 1640 Mary Saunders, bp. All Saints, Sudbury, Suffolk, 26 Aug.
1619, d. Medford 17 Jan. 1696/7, daughter of Martin and Rachel (_____) (Brackett) Saunders
of Braintree. Francis Eliot was made a freeman 2 4th month [June] 1641. He left a will,
dated 20 Oct. 1677 and proved 12 Nov. 1677, naming daughters Mary Hubart, Rachell Poulter,
and Hannah Willis; son Stephen Willis; daughter Abigail Eliot; beloved wife Mary (to be
sole executrix); beloved friends Capt. Rich'd Bracket, Bro. Robert Parmenter, and Edmund
Quinsey to be overseers."
