"George Fairbanke, born, it is believed, about 1528; married first,
May 10, 1551, "Sibbell Wad" [Sibyl Wade], who died in childbirth
and was buried May 21, 1573, at Halifax, Yorkshire... He married
second, Feb. 15, 1573/4, Jener (or Johanna) (Mawd) Brodlye (or
Broadley), widow of John Broadley... Perhaps he was the George
Fairbank buried at Sowerby, March 29, 1610. The wife of George
Fairbank of Sowerby was buried Nov. 26, 1612."
