"Henry Howland, the second of the name, from whom you descend, and the seventh child of
Zoeth and Abigail Howland, was born June 30, 1672. His twin sister, Abigail, named for her mother,
married one Abraham Booth in 1700. They were four years old when their father was killed by the
Indians. As children they grew up at the home of their stepfather Richard Kirby...
He married Deborah, daughter of Thomas Briggs, June 3, 1698. She was born in 1674 and died
November 25, 1712... On the death of Deborah, Henry Howland married Elizabeth Northup
FebUruary 12, 1714, with whom he was not happy."
