"Mary Howland (Henry) died at Scituate, Massachusetts, between 4 November 1699 and
5 January 1699/1700, the dates of her will and inventory. She married, probably at Scituate
and before 1665, to James Cudworth, who served Scituate as surveyor of highways in 1671
and 1674. The son of Major James Cudworth, Sr., Mary's husband was baptized at Scituate on
3 May 1635 and died there before 17 December 1697, when his inventory was taken."
