[1972] Sprague says that William was born 17 July 1652 (Boston Returns), not in 1650 as in the Braintree published Vital Records.
William Savil owned the covenant at church by 1684 and Deborah his wife admitted to full communion 15 June 1684; Deborah their daughter was admitted on 6 June 1708.
William was elected surveyor of highways in 1696; and selectman 1699. He served in King Philip's War in 1676.
The will of William Savil is dated 31 January 1699/1700, proved 7 March 1699/1700:
To wife Experience 1/3 of all moveables she brought with her & 1/3 of all estate.
To eldest son William a double part, rest to Joseph, Benjamin, Deborah & Judith equally.
Eldest son William executor when of age & during minority Dea. Nathaniel Wales with my two brethren Samuel Savell & Benjamin Savell executors in trust. Wit: John Webb, Samuel Speare (his mark), Benj. Webb.
Inventory is dated 21 February 1699/1700: House, out housing & homestead Ä300. 30 acres in the woods. 1 1/2 acres of meadow.
