"Richard Ferrer of Erringden, clothier, in his will dated 7 Apr, 1610, provided for his burial in
the church of Heptonstall, left a legacy to (his daughter) "Marie, wife of George Fairbanke,"
and named also children John, William, Sara, Henry, Grace, and Joice, as well as a son-in-law,
Alexander Bradshaw - who had married the testator's daughter Susan at Halifax in 1603.
Four of these daughters of Richard were named after his sisters."
