"Moses Crafts (son of Lieut. Griffin Craft). Born in Roxbury, Mass., 28 Apr.,
1641. Died in Wethersfield, Conn., 30 Dec, 1718, age 77. Married in Roxbury,
Mass., 24 June, 1667, Rebecca Gardner, daughter of Peter and Rebecca Gardner of
Roxbury. She was born 9 Nov. 1647, probably at Roxbury... Upon his headstone at
Wetherfield, Conn., the name is given as Croft. We copy the inscription in full.
" Here Lieth The Body of Mr. Moses Croft Who Departed His Life December Ye 30th
1718, In Ye 80th Year of His Age." According to the Roxbury records he was in
his 78th year when he died. The date of death of his wife Rebecca has not been
ascertained, but it probably occurred in Wethersfield, where she was living in
1699, as appears from a deed of June 10, 1699..."
