"MARY, b. Roxbury 10 October 1632; m. by 1653 Joseph Griggs; according
to the record kept by Rev. John Eliot, "Mary Griggs, wife to Joseph Grigs,
daughter to brother Crafts, died" 3 July 1653 but according to the town record
she was buried 30 June 1653."

"Mary Craft (daughter of Lieut. Griffin Craft). Born in Roxbury, Mass., 10 Oct.
1632. Married in 1653 Joseph, son of George and Alice Griggs of Roxbury. He was
born in England in 1620, came to this country with his father when fifteen years
of age, embarking Apr. 1, 1635 in the Hopewell. He joined the church in
Roxbury June 20, 1652, and was made a Freeman May 18, 1653. His wife Mary died
soon after her marriage, 3 July, 1653, say the Roxbury church records, but
another record says "buried June 30th." He married again 8 Nov. 1654, Hannah
Davis... He died 10 Feb. 1715, age 90, say the records, but ninety-five years,
if fifteen years of age when embarking in the Hopewell."
