article, except for her conclusion that Zipporah did not remarry. A deed of 15 March 1769
reads, 'Ezra Smith of Ashford for value received owe and promise to pay Ziporah Watkins,
the now wife of Capt. William Watkins, of Ashford, Late widow of Mr. Samuel Smith'...
William Watkins' will, dated 18 December 1769 and proved 7 April 1772, named his wife
'Ziporah'."
