"John Craft (son of Lieut. Griffin Craft). Born in Roxbury, Mass., 10 July,
1630, being the first birth recorded in the records of the town of Roxbury. A
family tradition, handed down from past generations, is to the effect that his
birth took place on board ship before landing. He married in Roxbury, 7 June
1654, Rebecca, daughter of Ralph and Rebecca Wheelock of Dedham and Medfield,
Mass... She died in Roxbury 24 Nov. 1667. He married, second wife, 30 Mch. 1669,

learn that on the "4th May 1684, John Craft confessed his sins that were publik
and so was admitted to take hold on the Covenant." He died in Roxbury 3 Sept.
