"EBENEZER WOODBERY, born July 3, 1667 married Hannah, daughter of Capt. John Dodge by his first
wife, at Beverly on May 15, 1690. He died in 1714. Capt. Dodge operated a corn mill on the upper
Bass River in 1670. He deeded it in 1702 to his son-in-law Ebenezer Woodbery - who was also his
stepson. Ebenezer lived west of Bass River near the present juncture of McKay and Sturtevant streets."
