p61: "Capt. Benjamin Shed, was born in Billerica, Mass., 5 Aug. 1696. As only
surviving son of his father, he succeeded to the latter's homestead...His death
took place on 9 Oct. 1774, at the age of seventy-four years, and his gravestone
stands near that of his father in the old South Burial Ground in Billerica. He
married first, about 1719, Abial [Manning]; she had seven children and died
21 Mar. 1736/37. he married secondly, at Billerica, 11 Apr. 1738, Elizabeth
Hill, born there 10 Dec. 1706, daughter of Joseph and Susanna (Baldwin) Hill;
five children by this marriage."
