"Bethia Penniman, b. prob. Braintree, ca. 1643, d. aft. 9 Nov. 1698. No birth rec. has been
found. Her year of birth is approximated by her position in the will of her mother, which
appears to list the daus. in their birth order. She m. John Allen Bristol, Plymouth Colony
(later Mass., now R.I.), bef. 22 Dec. 1673, when she was called "Bethia Allen" in the will
of her mother. John Allen of Bristol and "his now wife Bethiah" sold land to David Cary of
Bristol 9 Nov. 1698."
