"Thomas Terry, son of Thomas and Marie Terry, is named in the Census of
1698 (Doc. History of New York, Vol. 1, p. 670) with wife Eliza (who
died on November 24, 1706) and children Thomas, Daniel, Joseph, Abigail.
He died March 24, 1723/24. (New York Record, Vol. 47, p. 355.) He
married second, Eleanor, the widow of George Havens of Shelter Island.
Her grave stone in the Shelter Island Cemetery states that Ellenor, wife
of Thomas Terry and former wife of George Havens, died November 7, 1747,
in her 93rd year. (New England Register, Vol. 54, p. 56.) The inventory
of her first husband's estate was taken April 4, 1706, by Thomas Terry
and Jonathan Horton. (New York Wills, Vol. 1, p. 327.)"
