The following note is appended, obviously the work of William Pelletreau:
"Note - Richard Floyd, the testator, was born May 12, 1665, and during his whole life was one
of the most distinguished citizens of Suffolk County, inheriting a large estate, to which he
largely added. He married Margaret, daughter of Colonel Matthias Nicoll, September 10, 1686..."
