The Original Tandem

In April 2000 we will be replacing the original belt-type charging system in our EN Tandem Van de Graaff with an NEC Pelletron system. We'll also use this opportunity to add a fiber optic control system to the terminal. The photos presented here are of the Tandem in its current configuration, taken when we changed out the last broken belt for a temporary replacement. Watch for another photo survey once we get the Pelletron installed!
