This year's
American Physical Society meeting in Atlanta, GA
was a celebration of the Society's Centennial. From 20-26 March 1999
over 11,000 physicists from every
sub-discipline gathered both to exchange professional findings and to engage the
public with a variety of exhibitions. The JRM Lab participated on behalf of the
Division of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics
(DAMOP) by offering
virtual reality tours of the lab and an opportunity for visitors to
run live experiments
on the CRYEBIS via Internet remote control. The photos below are a sampling of
activity at and around the DAMOP exhibits.
The AIP also has a
photo gallery,
featuring all of the various activities surrounding the meeting.
