The pulse energy fluctuation of a kilohertz femtosecond laser was reduced from 1.33% RMS to 0.28% RMS, which improves the carrier-envelope phase stability from 500 mrad to 200 mrad.

This work was supported by the Chemical Sciences, Geosciences and Biosciences Division, Office of Basic Energy Sciences, Office of Science, U.S. Department of Energy, and by the National Science Foundation.

Presented at CLEO/QELS, May 2008 in San Jose, CA.
