Controlling Carrier-Envelope Phase of Grating-Based Chirped Pulse Amplifiers

Chengquan Li, Eric Moon, Zenghu Chang
J. R. Macdonald Laboratory, Department of Physics, Kansas State University, Manhattan, KS, USA

It was demonstrated that the carrier-envelope phase is sensitive to the variation of stretcher grating separation. By feedback controlling the grating separation, the phase of the amplified laser pulses is stabilized without disturbing the oscillator.

This work was supported by the Chemical Sciences, Geosciences and Biosciences Division, Office of Basic Energy Sciences, Office of Science, U.S. Department of Energy, and by the National Science Foundation.

Presented at CLEO/QELS, May 2007 in Baltimore, MD.
