We demonstrated that the shot-to-shot timing jitter of a streak camera can be reduced with a fast rise-time sweeping pulse. The time resolution is further improved by restricting the transverse electron angular distribution. We obtained 590 fs resolution when over 6000 laser shots were accumulated.
