On Day 6 we rolled though familiar turf on our way to Council Grove. The 75 mile course took us through previously visited towns like Marion, and into the oft-seen Cottonwood 200 venues of Cottonwood Falls and Council Grove. We started into the climbing phase of the ride, too, including the infamous hill at Elmdale. That evening Ivan and Vicki Wright kindly hosted a little get-together for some of us at the Cottage Inn, and a good time was had by all.
