James Whitcomb owned land in Harkwick, MA, and seems to have resided
there awhile. About 1743 he removed from Rochester, MA to Western (later
called Warren) where his death occurred sometime between 30 August and 16
November 1763. He was married four times, three of his wives being
cousins. His fourth wife was still living 28 February 1771, when her
dower was assigned.
