On Sunday, 24 May, I (possibly unwisely) tackled my toughest gravel ride to date. We rode out to the southwest of Council Grove, west of the Tallgrass Prairie, down to lunch at Strong City. We returned straight north from there. It was a long 123 km / 77mi, hot, sunny day that tried me. I was fortunate to fall in with another group of riders who kept things fun.
