In the name of God amen the fourth daye of Januarye and in ye XXXVth year of the rayne of soveryn Ladye Elizabeth etc. I George Savell of Walden in the Countye of Essex yeoman do ordain & make this my last will and testament in wrighting in manner and forme following ffirst I bequeath my soul in the hands of almighty God and to his son Jesus Christ in whose righteousness I only trust to be saved and my body to the earth whence it came to be buried at the deposition of myne executors hereafter named. And as touching my goodes this is my desire, ffirst I gyve and desire to George Savell my son XX quarters of mault to be delyvered unto hym immediately after my decease. Item I give to Thomas my son fyve pounds of lawful English money to be payd hym within one year after my decease. Item I will and devise to Anthony my son fower pounds oflawful English moneye to be payd to him at his daye of marriage. Item I will and desire to Christopher my son six pounds of lawful English money to be payd to hym likewise at his daye of marriage. Item I give to Marye my daughter the wife of John Tanton forty shillings of lawful English moneye to be payd unto her w'th in one year next after my decease. Item I will and desire to Katheryn & Annable my daughters to either of them fyve pounds to be payd unto them at their several dayes of their several marriages. All the residew of my goods I wholly give them to William Savell and to George Savell two of my sonnes whome I do ordeyne and make executors of this my p'sent will and testament and I do utterly revoke all other wills made executors & devises heretofore by me made. These being witnesses whose names be underwritten and for further testimony I have hereunto sett my hand and seall (Apr.??) are the daye and yere first above written.
