Polarization gated high harmonic generation was phase matched to produce 104 XUV photons per shots. This allowed us to observe the dependence of the XUV supercontinuum on the carrier envelope phase of the laser pulses.

This work was supported by the Chemical Sciences, Geosciences and Biosciences Division,
Office of Basic Energy Sciences, Office of Science, U.S. Department of Energy, and by
the National Science Foundation.
